Banbridge District
Local Strategy Partnership to Host Funding and Information Roadshow
::
Banbridge District Local Strategy Partnership (LSP) is set to host
a Funding and Information Roadshow between 17 and 25 June 2002 at
a number of venues in Banbridge, Rathfriland and Dromore. Run in
conjunction with Banbridge District Council, Banbridge District
Enterprises Limited, Banbridge District Community Network and the
two rural networks, TADA and ROMAL, the aim of the roadshow is to
provide the local community with invaluable information about funding,
applications, support and advice.
A number of funders and support agencies will have an information
stand at each venue included on the roadshow. Information will be
provided on the local community, social and economic plans for the
area and funding and training opportunities. Support and guidance
will be given to potential applicants seeking funding. Each information
session will commence with a short introduction and presentation
regarding key funding and support available locally. Information
at the session on 18 June will be provided on a drop-in and pick-up
basis between 9.30am and 12 noon.
All those interested are advised that the first of the four sessions,
taking place at 6.30pm in Banbridge Leisure Centre on 17 June, will
be the most informative as representatives from all participating
groups will be available to answer questions on individual queries
regarding applications for funding.
Also present at each session will be a number of supporting and
funding agencies including Banbridge District Council, funders under
the Peace II Programme such as Co-operation Ireland and other non-European
funders such as the Community Fund and Awards For All. Everyone
in the District is welcome to attend a session and avail of the
expert advice and support on hand.
This initiative is being financed by the Voluntary and Community
Unit, a body within the Department for Social Development.
Check the local press for detailed information on the dates and
times of each information session. For further information about
the roadshow, contact Elaine Gillespie on 028 4066 0644.
