This meeting commenced with a review of the Monitoring Officer’s Report followed by an update on strategic issues and each Peace II Programme. Members discussed farming issues and the Investing in Health Partnership. Members were given an update on community safety by the Council’s District Policing Partnership Manager and Community Safety Officer. Discussion in this area focused on the community safety audit, community safety training and a PSNI road safety event. It was proposed that The Bridge Partnership, having been in existence for 18 months, should undertake a review of its activities to date.

Minutes :: 19 June 2003
This meeting commenced with a review of the Programme Manager’s Administration Report. Members were informed about the progress of each Programme and this was followed by a financial update. Discussion ensued about surplus funding and whether to allocate surplus funds to existing Programmes or new projects. Members agreed to appoint an accountant to carry out an audit and prepare the accounts. The Programme Manager informed members about plans to run funding workshops throughout the District. Members agreed to conduct a review of The Bridge Partnership’s work in September focusing on its role, how its fits in with the role of government and its actions to date.
Minutes :: 26 September 2003
Held at the Burrendale Hotel in Newcastle, this meeting commenced with a review of the Programme Manager’s Administration Report. It was recommended that two social economy projects be approved for funding. Members were informed about applications that had been received from various groups in relation to its other Programmes. The Programme Manager provided a financial update. Members were informed that the information workshops held in Dromore, Banbridge and Rathfriland were well attended. The Bridge Partnership’s Monitoring Officer informed members that three Programmes had commenced and spot checks would be carried out as part of the monitoring procedures for each Programme. The Community Safety Officer updated members on the progress of the Community Safety Partnership.
Minutes :: 18 December 2003
After getting an update as contained within the Programme Manager’s Administration Report on each Programme being managed by The Bridge Partnership, the Programme Manager provided members with a full update on the commitment of funding by the end of January 2004. Members agreed to all the budget changes for the two projects being managed by YMCA Ireland and Banbridge Regeneration Agencies Network. The Bridge Partnership’s Monitoring Officer updated members on the progress and details of spend of individual projects. The Secretary provided an update on strategic issues and the Community Safety Officer updated members on recent funding applications in support of community safety projects. Members were asked to provide input into the community safety audit and strategy.
