Louis Boyle
lives in Dromore and two years ago took early retirement after over
33 years employment in the public service. Since 1974 he has worked
within health and social services in Belfast and since 1982 in the
Craigavon and Banbridge area. He has held a number of senior management
posts and from 1994 until he retired was the Director of Child and
Family Care and Director of Social Work in the Craigavon Banbridge
Community Health and Social Services Trust. He has extensive experience
of health and social care and of the community and voluntary sectors.
Louis was a founder member and is chairperson of the Dromore Walking
Association, a former secretary and manager with the Dromore Juniors
Football Club. He has been a long standing member of the Banbridge
Twinning Association and is involved with the Dromore Twinning Association.
He is an active member and former president of the Rotary Club of
Banbridge, and has recently joined the management committee of the
Banbridge Citizens Advice Bureau. He has been a long standing member
of the Corrymeela Community. He was co-opted onto the Bridge Partnership
as a representative of the community and voluntary sectors.
