As a local councillor with 18 years of service with Banbridge District Council, Jim was elected a member of The Bridge Partnership by his fellow councillors and welcomed the opportunity to become part of a group, whose primary aim it is to improve many aspects of life in the Banbridge District.

Jim has served one term as Council Chairman and currently represents the Council on a number of other bodies including Banbridge & District Sports Association, Banbridge District Tourist Development Association, Mayne Reid Rogers Trust, East Border Region Committee, Banbridge Community Regeneration Limited and Northern Ireland Local Government Association.

Managing Director of Fairhaven Residential Homes Ltd., Jim is married with three children and eight grandchildren.

When not busy with both professional and Council commitments, Jim has a keen interest in pipe bands, swimming, gardening and walking.
