Aengus Hannaway
was invited to join The Bridge Partnership as a statutory representative
on behalf of the N I Housing Executive and hopes to play an active
part in the delivery of Partnership’s strategy and objectives
for the Banbridge District over the next three years. Aengus is
particularly interested in ensuring areas such as community development,
rural regeneration and social inclusion receive sufficient attention
and funding from The Bridge Partnership.
Aengus joined the N I Housing Executive in 1980 and has held many
positions before he took up his current position as District Manager
of the Banbridge Office in 2004. Prior to this post, he worked in
other areas of social housing within the Housing Executive including
Area Planning, Traveller Project Team and Programme and Housing
Management. Aengus completed a B.A. Honours Degree in Business Studies
from the University of Ulster in 1992. Committed to broadening his
knowledge on social policy and reaching a higher level of academic
achievement, Aengus is currently studying part-time for a Masters
Degree in Social Policy and Community Development at Queens University.
Married with two children, Aengus is active in his local community
and is involved in a number of rural development projects. He is
involved in amateur drama and enjoys, time permitting, the odd game
of golf.
